From Epson comes the P-2000 multimedia storage viewer. The P-2000 is targeted at the digital photographer as a companion device and includes a 40GB drive and built in Compact Flash and Secure digital memory card reader. You can play video, view photographs and play music with the Epson P2000.
The Epson P-2000 is compatible with both Windows and Macintosh and has the ability to print directly to certain Epson printers via USB. You can view your photo's or videos on a TV with a video cable although one is not supplied.
Dimensions of the P-2000 are 5.2inches (13cm) by 3.3inches (8.5cm) by 1.2inches (3cm) and weighs a pound which is just over 450 grams including the Lithium Ion battery.
The big selling point of the Epson P-2000 multimedia player is it's 3.8 inch TFT LCD which is capable of displaying an impressive 640 by 480 pixels. This is probably the best resolution of any of the portable media players available. Such a detailed screen lends itself well to viewing photographs in detail.
File formats supported by the P-2000 include motion JPEG and MPEG-4 for video. Support for viewing photographs include JPEG and RAW, audio file support is for MP3 and AAC.
