The iRiver PMP-120 portable media player has the ability to play audio and view images and video on it's 3.5 inch 320 x 240 pixels TFT screen. It also boasts the ability to record audio and has a built in FM tuner. The PMP 120 lack a video recording capability but can output to a video device such as a television.
The PMP 120 has a 20GB drive, the PMP 140 has a larger 40GB drive. The iRiver is powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion battery giving up to 5 hours of video playback in both PAL and NTSC. This unit can be used with both Windows and Macintosh computers.
Connection to a computer is via USB, there is also a USB connection to connect you digital camera to the PMP 120.
With the battery fitted the unit weighs approximately 10oz and measures 5 and a half inches by just over 3 inches and is over an inch in depth. The PMP has a built in stand should you wish to stand it upright on your desk.
The iRiver PMP-120 supports various video formats including WMV, MPEG-1 and 2, DivX 3.11, 4.0 and 5.x. The unit is able to display BMP and JPG images and play audio files in MP3 and WAV formats.
