The Samsung Yepp YH-999 portable media player has an 20GB hard drive and 3.5 inch TFT LCD display. You connect the Yepp to your computer via the USB 2.0 (also works with USB 1.1) interface to a PC running Windows XP.
The YH-999 measures approximately 4 inches by 4 inches and is less than an inch in depth and weighs in at less than 8oz. The controls are located on the front of the unit that allow you to access your stored media.
You can play audio and video on the Samsung Yepp YH-999 and also use it to view your photo collection. The Yepp supports ASF and WMV video formats, MP3 and WMA audio files and JPEG for image files.
The Yepp can be connected to a video device such as a TV with the supplied cable. You will need a Video in and a left and right audio input in your video device to connect it up properly.
Samsung describe the Yepp as a Windows mobile based portable device. The operating system on the Yepp is similar in feel and function to Microsoft's Media center. You can sync your media to the device using Windows Media 10 software on your PC.
